Nabarangpur: The 20th meeting of the District Planning Committee has approved an outlay of Rs 1093 crore for Nabarangpur in 2019-20.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of the Mission Shakti here Friday.
Minister of water resources, information and public relations Raghunandan Das chaired the meeting which was attended by MP Ramesh Majhi, Nabarangpur MLA Sadashiv Pradhani, Dabugan MLA Manohar randhari, Umerkote MLA Nityananada ganda, Jharigan MLA Prakash Chandra Majhi, zilla parishad chairperson Bhagbati Bhatra, other people’s representatives and officials of various departments.
The plan outlay has laid focus on agriculture and allied activities, rural development, irrigation and flood control, electrification, road connectivity and social welfare.
According to reports, Rs 7896.30 lakh was allocated to agriculture, Rs 41431.58 lakh to rural development, Rs 2480.75 lakh for irrigation and flood control, Rs 2400 lakh for rural electrification, Rs 52.66 lakh for industries and mineral extraction, Rs 12695.42 lakh for road connectivity, Rs 2411.40 lakh for skill development and environment protection, Rs 318884.49 lakh for social welfare and Rs 20 crore for Gopabandhu Gramin Yojana.
