Bhubaneswar: The results of Plus II Arts and Commerce examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will be declared in the first week of June, School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra said here Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat, Patra said, “The results are getting delayed due to manual tabulation. Besides, there were various disruptions during the examinations this year, starting from management to evaluation of answer scripts. Last year it was published May 30 while it will be delayed by five to seven days this year. The results will be out by first week of June.”
The evaluation of answer scripts was affected due to the strike by All Odisha Non-Government College Teachers Staff Forum.
The results of Plus II Science stream examinations were declared May 19 this year. After declaration of the results, Patra had informed that the results of Plus II Arts and Commerce were likely to be declared by the last week of May.
Altogether 3, 80,707 students of 1,504 colleges had appeared for the Plus II examinations at 1,106 centres across the state. The theory paper examinations were held between March 6 and March 29 while the practical exams were held from January 29 to February 8.
