Bhubaneswar: The much awaited results of Plus II Arts and Commerce streams are going to be declared on June 9. This was confirmed by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Thursday.
While Plus II Science results for the CHSE Annual Examinations 2018 have already been declared on May 19, the students are eagerly waiting for Arts and Commerce results.
A day before, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra had informed that the results of Plus II Arts and Commerce streams will be out June 9. But, as June 9 is a second Saturday, they were mulling of advancing publication of the results to June 8, if possible.
The minister had informed Wednesday that the results of Plus II Science is already out. What remains is Commerce and Arts. The tentative date for it is June 9. As June 9 is second Saturday, there is a problem. We’re thinking of advancing the result publication to June 8, if possible, he had said.
On being asked why the exercise got delayed, the Minister said, “How come delayed? The striking teachers neglected exam invigilation and evaluation. So delay is unavoidable. However, it was published on May 30 last year while this year it will be June 9. It’s not a delay. No major mistake has also been marked. This time there is a test of quality in conducting the exams and we have successfully curbed malpractice.”
