Bhubaneswar: The annual Plus II examinations will begin March 7 next year, as per a schedule released by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha Thursday.
The CHSE announced the examinations for Arts/Science/Commerce/Vocational/Distance Education streams. While Science and Commerce stream students will appear theory papers from March 7, Arts students will sit for the exams from March 8, 2019
Prior to that, students having practical/projects will appear for the tests from January 28 to February 8.
The three-hour exam will commence at 10am and the students are expected to occupy their seats by 9.45am. The annual examination will conclude March 30, the notification read. Practical examinations will be conducted for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Electronics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Computer Application, Statistics, Geography, Geology, Education, Information Technology, Psychology, Anthropology, Indian Music and Home Science. Besides, the project evaluation and viva voce for the Commerce stream and practical examinations for integrated vocational subjects for Arts, Science and Commerce will also be conducted during the period.
The theory and practical examinations will be held as per the schedule even if any of the date is subsequently declared as holiday.
The Council has asked the students to submit their project reports along with the mark foils in its office within seven days of completion of the practical examinations. It has also asked the authorities of all residential colleges to submit video footages of the practical examinations in their respective centres with the practical answer scripts and mark foils in the Council office within seven days of the completion of the practical examinations, the notification added. Meanwhile, the last chance to fill the forms for the exam began Thursday and it would continue till December 15.
The students will have to deposit the examination fee by the college through SB Collect between December 14 and 17. Then, they will have to submit the deposit receipt, annexure-II etc in the Council Head Office/ Zonal office from December 18 to 19.
The CHSE, however, clarified that this is the last opportunity being provided to such students and under no circumstances, the date of filling-up of forms for regular and ex-regular students will be extended.
