Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to unveil slew of projects worth Rs 4,500cr at a special function in Baripada in Mayurbhanj district Saturday.
This is the second visit of PM within two weeks.
As per itinerary schedule, Modi will arrive at around 2:30 pm. He will go on to inaugurate the Balasore-Haldia-Durgapur section of Paradip-Haldia-Durgapur LPG pipeline of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
The 670 km Paradip-Haldia-Durgapur line has been built at a cost of Rs 1,330 crores and will ensure supply to Odisha and neighboring states. The pipeline travels 240 km in the State and passes through Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore districts.
Capacity of Paradip-Haldia and Haldia-Durgapur section of the pipeline is 1.1 MMTPA and 1.3 MMTPA respectively.
The PM will also lay foundation stone of the highway projects for 4 laning of 43.2 km of Rimuli-Koida section of NH-215 at a project cost of Rs 828.36 crore, 4 laning of 104.2 km of Singara-Binjabahal section of NH-6 at a project cost of Rs 1,313 crore, 4 laning of 53.2 km of Koida-Rajmunda Section of NH-215 at a project cost of Rs 1,176.4 crore.
Modi will also flag off a second passenger train from Tatanagar to Badampahar and the doubling of 11.3-km Chillikidara-Sagadapata line and 9-km Naranpur-Basantpur line, completed at a cost of Rs 131 crore. The new train lines will connect mineral rich Keonjhar and Jajpur districts.
Other projects include, the inauguration of a multi-modal logistics park (MMLP) built at a cost of Rs 250 million in Balasore for conservation and development works for Rasikaray Temple and excavated structure at the ancient fort Haripurgarh in Mayurbhanj. He will also inaugurate new Passport Sewa Kendras at Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jajpur, Aska, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal before his departure.
