PMA advance into quarters

Cuttack, April 13: Pyari Mohan Academy (PMA) pipped Ranihat High School by three wickets to advance into the quarterfinals of the PVR Murthy Inter-school cricket tournament at the Bhuvananda Engineering Ground here Monday.

Put into bat first, Ranihat were bundled out for 125 in 24.1 over with Sidhartha Mallick (41) emerging as the highest scorer. Sabir Hussen bowled well for the opposition to scalp four wickets.

In reply, PMA overhauled the target in 23.3 overs, losing seven wickets in the process. Y Sudeep Giri (46) lead the run chase with a patient knock and was adjudged as the man of the match.
