Joda: Police were accused of beating some students at Baneikala High School under Joda police limits on Saraswati puja day.
However, reason for the alleged police attack is not known. The students have strongly protested alleged police excesses and filed a written complaint at the BEO Thursday.
In the complaint, students said that when Swarswati Puja was on, some policemen from Joda entered the school premises February 10 and beaten some students. They were hurt in the attack.
Surprisingly, when students asked the headmaster about the reason for the beating, the latter threatened the former of sending them to police station.
Headmaster Bidyadhar Mohant also threatened the students that he would not give them admit cards and not allow them to sit for examinations.
Even when guardian of the students asked the headmaster about the police attack, the headmaster abused them, it was alleged.
Contacted over phone, the headmaster said,” I am on way home and will talk about it later.”
