Berhampur: Separate teams of Odisha Vigilance sleuths carried out simultaneous raids Monday on three properties owned by a constable (Number-742) who works in Berhampur Police of Ganjam district.
The constable has been identified as Sudarshan Pradhan. The raids were conducted as Pradhan allegedly possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, a source said.
The three teams of Vigilance sleuths comprised an Additional SP, two Deputy SPs, five Inspectors and several other subordinate staff.

Locations where searches begun early in the morning include a three-storey residential building at Luchapada on Main Road of Berhampur city, buildings located at Nimakhandi locality and ancestral house at Gamundi village under Bhanjanagar police limits in Ganjam district.
“Simultaneous searches are being carried out at three locations on the strength of a search warrant issued by the Special Judge of Vigilance in Berhampur, which are still underway,” a senior official stated.
The sleuths have recovered Rs 5, 16, 880 unaccounted cash so far. As the raids are underway, total value of Pradhan’s movable and immovable properties have not been ascertained, the source said.
