Bhadrak: Rural Police in this district exhumed the decomposed body of a child at Gelatua Nuasahi. The father of the deceased, Tuku Munda has been arrested on charges of murder.
Acting on a complaint by Nandini Munda, the deceased’s mother, police went to the village and dug out the body in the presence of a forensic team and a magistrate.
Nandini according to her complaint said that she and her husband both work as daily wagers. They always had bitter quarrels as her husband was alcoholic. They had one such argument August 30 and Tuku under the influence of alcohol killed his one-and-a-half month old son. He then buried the body close to the house.
The incident came to the fore Monday when Nandini lodged a complaint with the police. A probe has been launched to find out other details about the gory incident.
