Bhadrak: Even as Muslims are geared up to celebrate Eid Wednesday, the police carried out a flag march in various parts of Bhadrak town Tuesday, as part of precautionary security measures.
According to reports, eight platoons of police force conducted the flag march under the supervision of SP Rajesh Pandit, ASP Kailash Chandra Parida and Puruna Bazaar IIC Pragyan Mohanty.
For smooth conduct of the celebrations, an elaborate security arrangement has been put in place in the town. Three ASPs, six DSPs, 13 sub-inspectors, 56 SIs and ASIs will supervise the security.
A coordination meeting was held at the Sadbhabana hall of the Collectorate in the presence of representatives from various communities, the police and administrative officials. The celebrations will end August 24.
