Bhubaneswar: Both Tirtol and Balasore Sadar constituencies recorded 39.68 and 41.36 voting percentage respectively till 1:00PM, Tuesday.
The voting percentage is gradually increasing in both the constituencies despite the fear of COVID-19 pandemic. Citizens were seen casting their votes by obeying all the COVID-19 guidelines.
The overall turnout of the total electorate in both the constituencies stood at 40.51.
State Chief Electoral Officer Sushil Kumar Lohani shared this information at a presser held here.
Earlier the voting percentage in Balasore Sadar constituency was recorded at 27.06 till 11:00 am while it was 24.93 in Tirtol. The overall turnout of the total electorate in both the constituencies stood at 26.24.
However, these two constituencies recorded 7.58 and 12.11 per cent voter turnout till 9am respectively.
The polling began at 7AM and voters were seen turning up at the booths to cast their votes.
In Balasore Sadar and Tirtol, the number of booths have been increased from 198 to 346 and 265 to 373 respectively.
