Dhamnagar: Taking a dig at the state government, Union Petroleum, Oil and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan pointed out PC (percentage commission), irregularities in toilet construction, housing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the issue of chit fund in Bhadrak district.
Addressing the BJP’s Jana Paramasa rally at Kerua in this block Saturday, Pradhan sought to know how the state government is utilising funds being provided by the Centre.
“Healthcare has been in a shambles in Bhadrak district with many posts of doctors lying vacant. Hospitals in the district require 166 doctors whereas only 59 doctors handle healthcare. The entire country is being illuminated by coal of Odisha while our state reels under darkness,” the Union Minister said.
He flayed the state government by raising issues like malnutrition of children, irregularities in paddy procurement and chit fund. Other BJP leaders at the rally also targeted the state government on alleged irregularities.
On the occasion, some leaders of other parties joined the saffron party.
