Prasanna Kumar Parhi appointed as Assistant Solicitor General of India for Orissa HC

Bhubaneswar: Honourable President of India Ram Nath Kovind appointed senior advocate Prasanna Kumar Parhi as Assistant Solicitor General for the Orissa High Court Wednesday afternoon, for a period of three years with immediate effect.

Parhi joined the legal profession in 1992. He served as the Additional Standing Counsel in the Orissa High Court from 2004 to 2009 and worked as Prosecutor in the office of Advocate General, Orissa as well.

Parhi was a Panel advocate with various Government Organisations such as EPF, Airports Authority and MCL.

In 2017, Parhi was appointed as the Senior Standing Counsel in the Central Excise, Customs and GST in the Orissa High Court.
