Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths Wednesday said they have conducted raids at the office and residence of a Cuttack Sewerage Board project engineer on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused has been identified as Pramod Sahu, a project engineer working for Cuttack Sewerage Board.
According to a vigilance officer, acting on a tip-off, the sleuths conducted raids at five places, including his residence at Nayapalli at Bhubaneswar and office in Cuttack.
The anti-corruption agency officials have found Rs 50 lakh in bank deposits, 400 grams of gold, three plots, one building, one car and two motorcycles from his possession.
Till last reports came in, the raids were underway and calculation of the total value of his movable and immovable properties is yet to be ascertained.
