Cuttack, Jan 28: Punjab were in command against Madhya Pradesh on the second day of the four-day final match of the All India U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy cricket tournament at the Ravenshaw Ground here Wednesday.
After scoring 355 runs in the first innings, Punjab bowled well to send five top order batsmen of the opposition to pavilion.
Punjab added 40 more runs to their overnight score of 315 for six with Prabhsimran Singh (154, 184b, 24×4, 1×6) emerging as the highest scorer.
In reply, MP were struggling on 166/5 at stumps with Mudit Bhargava (54 batting, 189b, 8×4) fighting a lone battle.
