Keonjhar: Demanding immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the murder of Ramchandra Behera which occurred at Dhokotha, district Congress gheraoed the office of Superintendent of Police here, Friday.
Accusing Minister Badri Narayan Patra of his involvement in the crime, Congress workers burnt his effigy. They also demanded appropriate steps must be taken against those found guilty.
PCC general secretary Alok Mishra demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident. Party workers alleged that the minister and his followers are trying to terrorise the electorate before the polls to garner votes. They demanded installation of CCTV cameras along with deployment of forces in Patra’s constituency.
Hundreds of workers and leaders took out a rally from Congress office to the SP’s office and handed over a memorandum to him.
