Bhubaneswar: Country’s largest online bike-taxi aggregator company Rapido announced that the company is now offering free rides during the elections to voters of Twin-Cities of Odisha. Rapido has introduced this initiative to ensure that every voter can exercise their ‘Right to Vote’ by helping voters reach the polling station on time.
Rapido City Head Sibashis Rath said, “We are offering this service to each and every voter so that they can reach the polling station and cast their valuable votes. The offer will be active only during the normal voting hours on polling days in the respective cities.”
Speaking further about the procedure to avail free service, Rath said, “The users will have to book a Rapido Bike through the Rapido app. Users will have to use the coupon code ‘IVOTE’ when booking a ride on the app. The offer will be applicable in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. In general Rapido offers an introductory rate of Rs 10 for 3km for the people of Odisha.”
This Bengaluru-based aggregator offers an age-old concept of transportation by replacing conventional four-wheeler taxis with bikes.
Rapido is now operational in more than 40 cities across 16 states in India with a vision to provide an economical, cost-effective, fuel-efficient and time-saving transportation mode to commuters.
City head claimed that Rapido has high standards for user safety and also provides insurance coverage for both its customers as well as drivers.
