Puri: After staying two days atop chariots, the Holy Trinity was Thursday placed at the ‘Adapa Mandap’ inside the Gundicha temple after performing ‘Goti Pahandi’ritual.
This ceremonial ritual is also called as ‘Adapa Mandapa Bije’.
According to a source in Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, devotees can have darshan of the deities as well as get ‘Adapa Abhada’ beginning Today.
The ‘Mahaprasad’ offered before the deities during this period, is known as ‘Adapa Abhada’.
It can be mentioned here that the ‘Adapa Mandap’ is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra.
The deities will now stay at Gundicha temple for a week. After their seven days stay, ‘Bahuda Yatra’ will be performed.
