Puri: With few hours to go for commencement of the annual nine-day-long sojourn of the trinity-Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, the pilgrim town is all set to witness the car festival, with lakhs of devotes have thronged to have a glimpse of Lord.
The temple administration has made elaborate arrangements for the rituals.
Here are the rituals and the timing:
Mangala Alati – 6 AM
Mailama – 6.10 AM
Tadapalagi and Rosa Homa – 6.30 AM
Abakash ritual, Surya Puja and Dwarapala puja – 7.00 AM onwards
Besha Sesha – 7.30 AM
Gopala Ballahav, Khechudi Bhoga – 8 AM to 9 AM
Ratha Pratistha – 9 AM
Mangalarpana – 9.15 AM
Pahandi – 9.30 AM to 12:30 PM
Entry of Madan Mohan – 12.30 PM to 1 PM
Chitalagi – 1.30 PM to 2 PM
Chhera Pahanra – 2 PM to 3 PM
Chariot pulling – 4 PM onwards
