Ravenshaw holds 10th Convocation

Cuttack: The Ravenshaw University organised its 10th Convocation here Tuesday. Governor and Chancellor Ganeshi Lal presided over the ceremony while Renu Swarup, Secretary Department of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology, was the chief guest. Noted historian Nivedita Mohanty, eminent theatre personality Ananta Mohapatra and Padma Bibhusan Prakash Narain Tandon were conferred with honourary doctorates on the occasion. Altogether 1,383 students were awarded Bachelor’s Degree while 996 got Masters Degree. Besides, 274 students were awarded MPhil degree and 78 PhD Degree. At least 60 meritorious students received gold medals on the occasion.
