Bhubaneswar: A bike rally Ride For Freedom was organised by Creed Bulls, a biker club, to spread awareness of road safety, here Wednesday.
The members of the club from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar assembled near Ram Mandir here and travelled through Barunei Hill in Khurda, reached Ugratara before ending the rally at Chilika. The rally witnessed a participation of more than 60 bikers.
Orissa POST interacted with the members of Creed Bulls. Vishal Rath said, a member of the club, said, “Every year we celebrate Republic Day and Independence Day in a different way, through bike ride with a message of road safety. This year 60 bikers joined the rally and we rode approximately 250 km in the rain with proper formation and riding gears.”
He urged the youth to enjoy bike rides with proper safety measures. “The turnout for the rally was huge making it a very big success,” he added.
Another member Arup Samal said, “This was a thrilling event. I love to ride bike like anybody else and I believe it is important to always follow all safety measures. This event was a thoughtful and innovative way to spread message in the Independence Day. It was wonderful to see such excitement among the bikers.”
