Rishabh Pant turns ‘baby-sitter’ for Tim Paine’s kids

The back and forth between Australia captain Tim Paine and India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant during the third Test at Melbourne left many fans and commentators in splits.

Whether it was Paine telling the youngster to take up a Big Bash League (BBL) contract since MS Dhoni is back in the India side for the upcoming ODI series or Pant calling Paine a ‘temporary captain’, the mini-feud was both entertaining and good natured.

One of the barbs that caught the attention of many was when Paine asked Pant if he could babysit. “Do you babysit? I’ll take my wife to the movies one night and you can babysit,” he had told the Indian wicketkeeper when he was batting.

However, it seems Pant took Paine’s words at face value.

Paine’s wife Bonnie recently posted a picture of herself and her children alongside Pant with a tongue-in-cheek caption “Best babysitter”.

The fourth and final Test between India and Australia gets underway at Sydney from January 3.
