Rising above imperfection to being an inspiration

Uma Shankar Dash is a name to reckon with in the world of sculpture in the state. He has been noted for his modern, innovative ideas but has an even more inspiring facet of life: He has lost a foot to an accident but has not allowed the handicap to tie him down. Excerpts from an interview:

# What goes into your work? How do you produce your sculptures?

# How has the loss of limb affected your work? How do you cope with it?

# What is your upcoming Project?

# What are your plans for the future?
