Valentine week is knocking at the door and it is expected that nearly 200 million roses will be sold this year by teenagers to express love to loved ones.
It is a seven-day affair, and the first of the week is called Rose Day which is celebrated February 7 every year. But while picking rose one should keep in mind that each colour denotes to a different meaning.
White Rose: This colour represents purity, chastity and innocence. White roses are sometimes referred to as bridal roses because of their association with young love and eternal loyalty. It shows the beginning of a relationship.
Yellow Rose: This color of rose represents friendship, joy and caring. The yellow rose is the perfect rose for a close friend. Yellow roses’ sunny demeanor and positive attitude make the perfect gift for anyone you care about.
Red Rose: Red roses also stand for passion, true love, romance and desire. The red rose is a classic “I Love You” rose. This is an unmistakable expression of love. A deep red rose can mean that you are ready for commitment, and have a deep passion for that person.
Pink Rose: They symbolize happiness, gratefulness, and appreciation. Pink roses make an excellent choice for close friends. While a light or pale pink rose conveys grace, gentleness, joy.
Orange Rose: Orange rose are representative of a much fiercer emotion. These flowers thought of as the bridge from friends to lovers.
Lavender Rose: Symbolizes enchantment, wonder, splendor and mystery as well as love at first sight or enchantment at first sight. Though found rarely.
Peach Rose: Peach roses are subtle messengers of the first blush of love or appreciation. The peach rose can also be a great way to show sympathy to a loved one or a close friend.
