Rourkela: After a frantic search, a team of ODRAF personnel fished out the body of another missing student Monday morning, a day after three students drowned in the Koel River at Jamasara Ghat here under Bondamunda police limits in Sundargarh district.

According to a police official, nine students of Class 10 from a private school at Sector 5 area in Rourkela City had gone near Koel River for picnic. The school students were swimming in the river water and four of them got swept away by an undercurrent in the afternoon.
Locals were able to rescue one student and the ODRAF team had earlier recovered the bodies of two more students who were identified as Bhupesh Prasad and Sujjan Sharma. The search operation was stalled in the evening owing to darkness and severe cold.
Notably, the deceased who was identified as Kaushik Mallik had gone for a picnic along with few of his classmates Sunday and drowned along with two others while taking bath together in the Koel River.
