Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) Wednesday announced diversion of Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express for Thursday due to ongoing modernisation works in Chakradharpur Railway Division.
In a notice in this regard, the ECoR said that instead of the fixed route, the train will take another route from Cuttack-Angul and miss some of the stations which falls en route.
“In view of safety-related modernisation works for the launch of Limited height sub-ways between Posotia-Manoharpur and Jaraikela-Bhalulata stations in Chakradharpur Railway Division of South Eastern Railway, 18477 Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express starting from Puri February 21, 2019 will run on diverted route via Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda Road-Ib and Bilaspur bypassing stations in Cuttack- Bhadrak-Tata-Jharsuguda route,” said the EcoR notification.
Passengers have been requested to cooperate with the department for this safety-related modernisation works going on at various places for smooth operation of trains.
