‘Rozgar Mela’ to absorb youth in construction sector 

BHUBANESWAR: Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) under the aegis of Skill India and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) organised a two-day job fair ‘Mega Rozgar Mela & Skill Exhibition’ at Cuttack Wednesday.

The fair aims to benefit unemployed youth of the state, especially in the field of construction. More than 40 companies including L&T, HRM Constructions, MB Infratech, KCS Eng & consultant, Manlift, SPD construction, I-Clean, OLA Cabs, Orion, Burger King, Konark Bituminus company, Western Refrigerators, DREAMPLAST INDIA PVT. LTD and many more participated in this job fair.

Around 3000 candidates from across the state registered in the fair and thousands were selected for about 120 job roles under CSDCI such as Mason, Carpenter, Barbender, Helper, Electrician, Machine Operator, Delivery boys, Pick n packers and other job roles of construction.

Speaking on the occasion, Anand Singh, CEO, Construction Skill Development Council of India said, “Odisha is a supplier state and construction is a dominating sector, may it be a mason or a plumber. This Rozgar Mela aims at employing aspirants from construction sector in Odisha.”
