Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday sanctioned Rs 38.45 crore for execution of 1,746 rural projects in 171 Gram Panchayats (GPs) of ten blocks in eight districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash (AGAB) programme.
Interacting with the people of these blocks through videoconferencing, the Chief Minister approved the projects for Barpali block in Bargarh district, Brahmagiri block in Puri district, Kasipur block in Rayagada district, Bamra block in Sambalpur district, Laxmipur and Kotpad blocks in Koraput district, Patna block in Keonjhar district, Karlamunda block in Kalahandi district and Udala & Rairangpur blocks in Mayurbhanj district.
He sanctioned Rs 3.91 crore for 229 projects in 23 GPs under Barpali block while Rs 5.63 crore has been allotted for 369 projects in 24 GPs under Brahmagiri block, Rs 5 crore for 213 projects in 24 GPs under Kasipur block, Rs 3.71 crore for 168 projects in 17 GPs under Bamra block and Rs 3.41 crore for 175 projects of 13 GPs under Laxmipur block.
The CM also approved Rs 4.34 crore for the execution of 158 projects in 17 GPs under Kotpad block, Rs 4.80 crore for 104 projects in 20 GPs under Patna block, Rs 2.40 crore for 139 projects in 12 GPs under Karlamunda, Rs 3 crore for 95 projects in 12 GPs under Udala block and Rs 2.25 crore for 96 projects in 9 GPs under Rairangpur block.
The CM has sanctioned Rs 882.10 for 35,858 rural projects in 3,888 GPs of 175 blocks in total.
