Dhenkanal: Vigilance sleuths conducted raids at the residence and other properties of the district’s Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Basanta Kumar Behera in connection with the disproportionate assets case Thursday.
Behera has been staying at the BDA area of Cuttack for a long period of time.
Simultaneous searches were also conducted at five different places including his residence at Cuttack, houses of his father-in-law at Binjhapur in Jajpur district, house in Bhubaneswar and his office at the district headquarters.
The total estimation of assets disproportionate to Behera’s known sources of income were yet to be unearthed as vigilance raids were underway, till the report was filed.
