There are stars galore in the Hindi film industry and news about them spread thick and fast. It doesn’t have to be true always… people will gobble up even the lies and spread them far and wide. Orissa POST takes a look at some of the weirdest rumours that have done the rounds about some of the biggest stars of the Hindi film industry.
AbRam is Aryan Khan’s love child
Well who started this fake news no one knows. However, the usually sauve Shah Rukh Khan even lost his cool when this rumour started doing the rounds. It said that Aryan had made some girl pregnant in Romania in a car and to hush up the matter, SRK family adopted AbRam. The superstar had to come out with a clarification on this. Imagine all this happening when Aryan was only 15 and did not have a European license also. And imagine driving at 15 legally anywhere in the world. The person who started this rumour must have forgotten that the legal age to get a license is 18 years.
Aamir Khan-Salman Khan fight in party
This rumour started doing the rounds a couple of years back and persisted for some time. Apparently Aamir Khan had hosted a party at his residence and invited Salman Khan over with a number of other people. It has been said that during the party, Aamir made some derogatory comments about Salman’s movies. Then according to persons who spread the rumour, Salman reacted violently and apparently the two came to blows, after which Salman left the party. Imagine such a thing happening and nobody capturing it on video. It was sheer nonsense.
Dimple Kapadia is the love child of Raj Kapoor and Nargis Dutt
Well there is no doubt that Raj Kapoor and Nargis were a hugely successful pair. They acted in eight movies together and all of them from Awaara (1951) to Henna (1991) were successful at the box office. The rumour did not surface when the pair was working together in the 1950s and 1960s. This fake news was floated only after Dimple made her debut with ‘Bobby’ opposite Rishi Kapoor. She was only 15 them. Forget Dimple… imagine the pain and embarrassment it would have caused to Raj Kapoor and Nargis. Both were good friends, more important the Kapoors and the Dutts were pretty close.
Sussanne Khan-Arjun Rampal marriage
According to many this was the main cause of the divorce between Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan. Well this happened at a time when Arjun Rampal was already very married. Arjun divorced his first wife Mehr Jesia in 2018, but when this rumour started doing the rumours he was well ensconced as a family man. This shocking news must have affected both Arjun and Sussanne who still are very good friends. How they came out of it is another story.
Katrina Kaif insecure about Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone
This rumour happened at a time when Ranbir Kapoor had broken up with Deepika Padukone and was allegedly dating Katrina. According to many, Katrina Kaif would frequently drop on to the sets of ‘Tamasha’ where Ranbir and Deepika were shooting. Katrina had to take to the social media and explain her stand. She went to the extent of saying ‘people’s imaginations are running wild’. Well this how rumours can make or break relationships.
Sonakshi Sinha is Reena Roy’s daughter
This rumour did not take off when Sonakshi was a baby or when she was growing up. It only happened when she had a smash debut with ‘Dabangg’. But why did it surface? Simply because Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy were a hit pair in the 1970s with some saying that Sonakshi shares a striking resemblance to Reena. Well Sonakshi snubbed the rumour straight away stating ‘I feel I look like my mom (Poonam Sinha) not anyone else.”
