The Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Saaho’ was one of the most anticipated movies of 2019. Although received with mixed reviews, the film has certainly made its mark at the box office with phenomenal opening day collections.
Box Office India report that ‘Saaho’ has had ‘the best Sunday’ of the year, beating the likes of ‘Kabir Khan’, Mission Mangal’ and ‘Bharat’.
This is what the first Sunday collections looked like for the aforementioned films:
Saaho: 29 to Rs. 30 crore
Kabir Singh: 27.91 crore
Bharat: 21.25 crore
Mission Mangal: 23.50 crore
The film was reportedly leaked online and suffered further setbacks after print of the movie were delayed which led to cancellations of many morning shows in northern India.
Despite that, the film’s incredible collection has surprised many. ‘Saaho’ has so far collected between Rs 79 to 80 crore since its release.
Besides, Prabhas and Shraddha, the film also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arun Vijay, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Mahesh Manjrekar, Mandira Bedi, Evelyn Sharma, and Vennela Kishore.
