Orissa POST interacts with city’s youngsters to know what makes the web series so popular. Excerpts:

Sikta Bhanja, student: The advantage of watching Netflix is its web series with various dose of emotions. It doesn’t stagnate the viewer with a typical Sas-Bahu drama. Sacred Games is interesting because of the powerful cast, Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apta. Moreover, the suspense in the series keeps one glued to his laptop or android.

Sanjit Guru, an employee in a private firm: The series is so captivating that it makes one habituated to watching it. It also symbolises chaos. Anurag Kashyap and Vikram Motwane’s storytelling makes it a worthy show.

Amisha Trilok, an manager: The plot shows two timelines centred on Mumbai and revolves around Nawazuddin and Saif Ali who plays the lead role. One can see flashes of actual politico-religious developments in India of the ‘80s and ‘90s. I am also bored with those excruciatingly painful soap operas.

Pratyush Sahu, businessman: Each episode means new twists and turns and it’s heady. If you blink you miss one good scene. So as far as this series is concerned I am very addictive to it as it has a touch of Narcos series. Its gripping, beautifully edited, the dialogues are crisp and beyond the monotonous.
