Salman Khan’s bungalow raided by police; know why

Mumbai: Mumbai police Wednesday arrested the man who took care of the famous actor Salman Khan’s bungalow in Gorai in the western suburbs. The man has been looking after Salman’s bungalow for the last 15 years.

The accused, identified as Shakti Siddheshwar Rana, 62. He is accused of a robbery that happened 29 years ago in Mumbai.

Police received tip-off from officials and reached Salman Khan’s bungalow where they spotted Rana in plain clothes.

Police said Rana and some of his associates were arrested by the police in 1990 in a case of theft. He later came out on bail and has since dodged the police.

A court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him but the police could not track him down.

When the police reached the spot, he came to know that this bungalow belongs to Salman Khan. However, the crime branch of the police raided the bungalow without informing Salman and arrested Rana. Further probe is on, the police said.
