Sambalpur, Dec 4: Local police Thursday arrested a youth on charges of posting obscene photographs of a girl by opening a fake account on a social networking site Facebook.
Though the photographs were uploaded on the site several months ago, police cracked the case by arresting the accused Chandan Pandey (24) of Modipada.
Police said the accused had befriended the girl a few months ago and proposed to her. However, as the girl turned down his proposal, he uploaded her obscene photographs by opening a fake Facebook account.
After the girl’s family members came to know about the matter, they lodged a complaint October 28. Police registered a case and arrested the accused.
