Cuttack: Sanjit Khora scored a brace in the first half as Rising Star Club (RSC) came from a goal down to beat Rovers Club 4-2 in a match of FAO 1st Division football league, at the Barabati Stadium here, Monday.
Biju Oram (seventh) put Rovers Club in front, but Rajak Nag equalised for Rising Star a minute later. Rising Star then continued to dominate proceedings and Sanjit made it 2-1 in the 13th minute.
Chandra Muduli added the third in the 32nd minute before Sanjit scored his second of the match seven minutes later to virtually seal the match. Rovers got a consolation goal in the second session through Dasrathi Kanhar.
In an match played on the day, Chandra Sekhar Behera (second), SS Alam (34th) and Lakhai Murmu (72nd) scored a goal each as Rising Student Club eased past Radha Raman Club 3-1 at the same venue. Prasanjit Singh (42nd) got a goal back for the losers.
Coaching course
The AFC B License Coaching Course (Module 1) which started August 20 concluded here Monday. Nineteen candidates from all over the country participated in it which was overseen by AIFF coaching director Savio Medeira. Former India international Mahesh Gawali and former Mohun Bagan star Jose Ramirez Baretto were also a part of the course.
