Sanaa: Yemeni officials say airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition fighting rebels have hit a house in the southwestern province of Taiz, killing at least seven people from one family.
They say the two airstrikes took place Friday in the Khadir district, and that the dead included a woman and four children.
The officials spoke Saturday on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief media. The Saudi-led coalition has been at war in Yemen against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels since March 2015.
The fighting has killed over 91,000 people, and has driven millions to the brink of starvation. Mohamed Abdel Salam, a spokesman for the Houthis, said that the airstrikes wounded a “number” of people.
There was no immediate comment from the coalition.
