Sambalpur: Trisha Agrawal, a girl from Sambalpur town, is part of an expedition to scale Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.
The mountain is a part of the Kilimanjaro National Park in Tanzania. A major climbing destination, Kilimanjaro has been the subject of many scientific studies, because of its shrinking glaciers and disappearing ice fields.
According to sources, 17 trainee mountaineers of the Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior, were nominated for the expedition and they started for South Africa September 5. They will continue to climb different other mountains till September 5.
Trisha is the daughter of Neetu and Siddhesh Agrawal of Green Park area in Sambalpur. She is pursuing her Plus-II Commerce (1st year) at Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior.
