Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the two-day Bharat Bandh, the state government Tuesday left it to District Collectors to decide whether they want educational institutions in their districts shut Wednesday.
Taking stock of the situation, the Collectors will take a decision in this regard, the government said. Meanwhile, Khurda Collector NC Mishra said all schools including anganwadis in his district will remain closed January 9. Educational institutions had remained shut Tuesday due to the Bharat bandh.
On the other hand, barring Cuttack, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Bolangir, and Deogarh, District Collectors of Sambalpur, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapra, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Puri, Angul, Boudh, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Bargarh, Balasore, Koraput, Keonjhar and Malkangiri have declared their schools and colleges to remain closed Wednesday.
