Scorpion carries babies on its back

Baripada: In a captivating video captured at the Similipal Tiger Reserve by an animal lover, a venomous scorpion was seen carrying her babies on its back.

Manas Behera, who took the video, said the rare sight attracted him to shoot the video and share it on the Internet.

Scorpions are not hatched from eggs like bugs. They crawl up to their mother’s back and ride there for 10 to 20 days till their outdoor shell or exoskeleton gets hard. A scorpion can even have as many as 100 babies in a single brood.
