Bhubaneswar: Central Zone A and Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) A continued their winning run as they defeated their respective opponents to qualify for the semifinals of the All India CRPF Inter-Zone Hockey tournament here at the KIIT Stadium, Thursday.
Central Zone A thrashed North East Zone B 8-0 while J&K A defeated Central Zone B 4-1. North East Zone A hammered South Zone B 10-0 to make it to the last four stage. The other team to make it to the semifinals were South Zone A, who trounced J&K B 5-0.
In the semifinals, Central Zone A will face North East Zone A while J&K Zone A will meet South Zone A. Both the matches will be played Friday.

Three hundred ninety players including 30 women participants across 16 states from the country are taking part in the All India Invitational Carrom Tournament, which was inaugurated Thursday by Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) working committee chairman Dhiren Palai at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. International player V Akash is the main attraction of the tournament.
