Puri: Leakage of rainwater at a joint between the main structure of Srimandir and Jagamohan here Tuesday created resentment among the servitors.
Sources said rainwater had drenched a canopy above the Ballavpindi near the Kalahata gate.
On being informed by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) put up a nylon sheet near the Kalahata gate to prevent leakage of rainwater.
According to sources, members of the Srimandir technical committee will examine the joint and take necessary steps to check the leakage.
“The ASI had recently renovated the Jagamohan by spending crores of rupees. Now, there is leakage of rainwater near Kalahata gate. The ASI should take immediate steps to address the issue,” said a servitor.
