Golamunda, August 16: Police Saturday busted a sex racket operating in a house in Bagdori under Kegaon police limits in Kalahandi district and arrested four persons, including a woman, said to be its mastermind. Police also rescued two minor girls.

According to reports, a police team raided Dulamani Bihari’s house Saturday evening on the basis of a complaint lodged by the villagers.
Following the raid, police arrested Bihari, the woman and two youths – Rajesh Mund and Haresh Mishra.
The accused and the minor girls were then brought to the police station for interrogation.

The accused confessed to have been running the sex racket. The woman hailing from Papadahandi had taken the girls to Baladiamal by bus Friday.

From there, they contacted Mund who accompanied them to Ranipur Jhariar in Bolangir. Later, they called Mishra of Bangomunda and went to Bihari’s house.
However, a quarrel broke out between Bihari and his wife after she came to know about their immoral activities and protested the act.

As the news spread in the village, locals lodged a complaint with the police. Police said the woman had been running the racket for a long period by luring girls from Papadahandi and Jagadalpur areas on the pretext of providing them employment.

The three male persons acted as middlemen and assisted the woman in running the racket, police added. The police have seized two motorcycles and registered a case.
