Bhubaneswar: The Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Commissionerate Police Friday busted a sex racket operating from PHUL Palace, an apartment complex, near a hospital in Khandagiri police limits here.
The police arrested three women from the spot. Two of them belonged to West Bengal and the other is a local.
The police arrested three others also from the spot including a customer. The arrested men are Keshav Sahoo, 30, Santosh Sahu, 35, of Berhampur in Ganjam and Umashankar, a non-Odia.
Sources said Keshav was running the sex racket for last few months with the help of Santosh by taking on rent the third floor of the complex.
After a tip-off, the QAT and the Khandagiri police raided the flat and caught the accused red-handed. The police also seized 20 condom packets, Rs 2,000, a car, a bike and two scooters.
The police launched investigations after registering a case (584/18) under Sections 3, 4, 6 and 9 of the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act.
