Bhubaneswar: The State Forensic Science Lab (SFSL) submitted the polygraph test reports of three accused persons, before Odisha Crime Branch Wednesday, in connection with Paralakhemundi assistant conservator of forests (ACF) Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra’s death.
According to an official, the probing-agency will scrutinise the test reports and match with previously recorded statements. Subsequent courses of action will be decided based on the lie detection test reports, the Crime Branch ADG Sanjeeb Panda informed.

“The polygraph test assumes significance as the family members of the deceased officer have been alleging involvement of the trio in the death case and also named Bidyabharati as a co-accused in the FIR they had lodged at the Paralakhemundi police station following the mysterious death of the young forest officer,” the ADG said.
Notably, wife of the deceased ACF Bidyabharati Panda, Gajapati DFO Sangram Keshari Behera and cook Manmath Kambha had undergone lie detection tests separately at the SFSL, earlier in September.
