Shah praises Naveen for maintaining peace during polls

Amit Shah wants India to be a top-notch nation to tackle disasters

New Delhi: In what could be speculated as an indication of post poll alliance between Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), BJP president Amit Shah Wednesday praised Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for maintaining peace during the elections in the state.

While addressing media over the clashes that erupted between BJP and Trinamool Congress (TMC) members during his road show in Kolkata Tuesday, Amit Shah criticized Mamata Banerjee -ruled state government for violence and praised Naveen Patnaik-ruled government in Odisha for maintaining peace during elections.

“Naveen Babu is ruling Odisha government. No incidence of such kind has happened in Odisha. They have even provided us land for holding rallies. Why all such violent incidents are happening in West Bengal only and not in any other state,” said Amit Shah.

It is to be mentioned here that violence had erupted during the road show of Amit Shah at Kolkata Tuesday. The BJP chief alleged that the TMC workers tried to attack him. He held West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee responsible for the clashes between BJP and TMC workers during his road show.
