Gauri Khan’s full name was Gauri Chibber before she married Shah Rukh Khan. Gauri is an interior designer by profession. She is the co-owner of Red Chillies Entertainment firm. She produced her first film Main Hoon Na in 2004. Gauri Khan professionally ventured into interior designing in partnership with close friend Sussanne Khan in 2010 to design exclusive interior projects together.
After several years of affair, both of them told their families about their love. However, their relationship was not accepted by Gauri’s family as Shah Rukh Khan was a Muslim.
In 1984, during a common friend’s party Shah Rukh met Gauri when he was only 18 years old. Shah Rukh and Gauri had to struggle a lot to get along with each other. Shah Rukh pretended to be a Hindu for five years to Gauri’s parents’ nod.
Shah Rukh Khan was very possessive about Gauri. He did not like Gauri to talk to others or keeping her hair open were among those disliked things by King Khan.
