Nabarangpur: An eight-month-old pregnant woman was found hanging at her in-laws’ house in Bhima Sahi under Papadahandi block of Nabarangpur district, Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Tanushree Nayak.
Family members of the deceased woman alleged that her in-laws killed her for demand of dowry. They have lodged a FIR against four members of her in-laws’ family including Tanushree’s husband Albert Shakespeare with Papadahandi police.

The accused is said to have been absconding after the incident.
Tanushree’s kin alleges that she was hanged to death by her in-laws for falling to bring the dowry amount that demand by them. She added that they have been harassing her over the issue from the last five months. They kept on harassing her for dowry on a daily basis, added aggrieved family members.
Sources said, Tanushree had married Albert October 5, 2019. Both were staying at a rented house at Bhima Sahi since then.
Albert dialed Tanushree’s family members to inform that she died by suicide in the wee hours of Thursday.
Police have recovered the body and started an investigation into the matter.
