Mumbai: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Akshay Kumar is in Glasgow, Scotland to shoot his new film.
But the popular actor is now facing the side effects of the virus. The film’s budget has already been shaken and now Akshay has to work in double shift for the first time.
Vashu Bhagnani, who is one of the most prolific Hindi filmmakers, is currently shooting his next film Bell Bottom at Glasgow Filmcity near London with Akshay, Lara Dutta, Vani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi. The shooting of this film has started and on the other hand Vashu sold his ambitious film Coolie No.1 for an OTT release. But in spite of this, the situation now seems to be uncontrollable.
Akshay and Vashu made plans to shoot the entire film in the midst of the pandemic, but after reaching there, the 14-day mandatory home quarantine period has spoiled the budget of the film. This entire unit was in a chartered plane. It is said that now Akshay has realized how such a large unit and such a long quarantine has overshadowed the budget of the film. Akshay is also a co-producer of his films so has to come up with a solution for this.
Due to the budget constraints, Akshay had to break his strict rule of 8-hour work day to work double time. Going to bed early at night and waking up early in the morning has always been Akshay’s code.
According to the information received from the location of the film Bell Bottom, now its shooting has started in double shift in Britain. Along with this, many local technicians have also been hired and more and more work is being done from the artists present there so that the shooting of the film is completed on time and within the proposed budget.
It stars Akshay Kumar as the lead character, with Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in other prominent roles. Principal photography began 20 August 2020, with the film scheduled to be released 2 April 2021.
