Kolkata: Rape charges are usually lodged by women against men. However, in this city a man has lodged a complaint at the Alipore court alleging that a renowned and award-winning TV actress has raped him for more than four years. Police however, has not named either the complaint or the accused, but the manner in which the man has moved court has become the talk of the town.
In his plea to the court, the man has said that since the police have refused to take the complaint as they have been allegedly influenced by the woman, he has been forced to seek justice in court.
The man has said that it was all hunky-dory in the first year of their relationship when the woman was trying her hand at acting. They had also decided at that point of time to get married. However, once the woman gained fame, she refused to tie the nuptial knot.
The man has confessed that both had a physical relationship and he saw nothing wrong in it as he intended to marry the actress. He has also said that he had divorced his wife to marry the TV star. However, when he pressurised the woman to get married, she went and lodged a complaint at a police station in South Kolkata alleging physical and mental torture. The man then said he was promptly arrested by the police but managed to get bail.
In his plea, the man states that it was because he intended to marry the actress, he had got involved in a physical relationship. Now he feels that the woman has raped her for four years because she had no intention of marrying him. And hence he wants the woman to be prosecuted for raping him.
