Bhubaneswar: Model and dancer Shrutiksha Nayak, 20, who has been preparing to make it to the finals of Miss India contest scheduled for June 19, was crowned Femina Miss India Orissa 2018 title at a glittering ceremony in Kolkata March 22. Nayak tweeted Tuesday to mark the World Environment Day that the Earth’s safety is dependent on the nature. “We think environment is a heritage and a legacy and nature is worthy of worship. The future, my friends, will be either green or nothing at all. Let’s remind ourselves of our inherent connection with nature and have the highest empathy for our environment,” says the tweet. Shrutiskha’s video has received 82,839 views and two thousand ‘likes’ so far. Shrutiksha is a fitness model who is pursuing a degree in Mass Media from KIIT University. Aishwarya Jena and Priya Kansagara were the other two finalists from Odisha along with Shrutiksha. Shrutiksha was under the tutelage of actor and model Pooja Chopra (Femina Miss India-2009), the celebrity mentor for east zone. Danseuse Mandakini Jena who had trained Shrutiksha said, “She has all the qualities to be the winner. She has the grace of a dancer and confidence of a professional model which will help her in a great way”.
